Daniel M. McGillycuddy practices in the areas of criminal and civil litigation, both regionally and nationally.

Mr. McGillycuddy has over 30 years of litigation experience, serving first chair at more than 125 hearings and trials in both state and federal court. He has broad experience handling complex, high-stakes criminal and civil matters involving a wide range of issues. As a prosecutor in the New York County District Attorney’s Office, McGillycuddy handled complex organized-crime murder investigations and prosecutions and the successful prosecution of a conspiracy to murder a New York City Supreme Court Justice. As defense counsel, he has represented both corporations and individuals in securities and white-collar prosecutions and regulatory investigations and has defended a wide-range of federal and state criminal matters involving, inter alia, wire and mail fraud, RICO and OCCA charges, and allegations of healthcare fraud, public corruption, antitrust violations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and environmental-related offenses. He has also represented Fortune 100 corporations in contract and civil fraud litigations, and officers and managers faced with high-stake internal investigations.

Before becoming of counsel at Gitlin, Horn and Van de Kief, McGillycuddy was a partner at national firms, Duane Morris and Bingham McCutchen, served as a prosecutor under District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, and was associated with the white-collar criminal defense firm, Obermaier, Morvillo.
