The Legal Analyst program is a two-year program at the firm. Legal Analysts will assist lawyers in all aspects of the firm’s caseload, ranging from conducting research, to drafting legal documents, to handling marketing and certain organizational tasks. This unique and challenging position provides Legal Analysts with the ability to perform hands-on work every stage of a case, and it provides Legal Analysts with exposure to complex civil and criminal disputes. It is an excellent opportunity for those pursuing a legal career.
The Legal Analyst program is an essential component of the firm, and as such, Legal Analysts are entrusted with a number of responsibilities. Working under the close supervision of our attorneys and partners, analysts will assist in: initiating cases, investigating fraud and misconduct, conducting research, drafting briefs and supporting papers, filing documents with the courts, communicating with clients, preparing for trial, serving as a liaison between attorneys and the courts, contributing to the firm’s marketing and social media strategy, and handling general firm administrative tasks, among other responsibilities.
We recruit Legal Analysts from undergraduate schools across the country and offer significant opportunities for learning and growth at the firm. We provide Legal Analysts with the knowledge and tools to excel both at the firm and throughout their professional careers. Beginning on their first day, Legal Analysts will undergo an intensive training period, including attending regular training sessions with the firm’s senior partner, attorneys, and senior Legal Analysts. We believe that training is an ongoing process, in which Legal Analysts will continue to learn from attorneys and from one another throughout their two years here. We take special care to make sure that all new Legal Analysts are brought up to speed with respect to their responsibilities, as well as with respect to the firm’s culture and expectations.
From its inception, Balestriere Fariello has strived to be a firm that fosters a collegial environment, where employees at all levels feel comfortable and welcomed working here. Consistent with these goals, we work hard to create a positive learning experience for the Legal Analysts, where Legal Analysts may build close working relationships with the firm’s attorneys and with one another.
