Balestriere Fariello Files Suit Against Harvey Weinstein

Balestriere Fariello and the Ferrucci Law Group filed suit against the co-founder of Miramax, LLC and former co-chairman of The Weinstein Company LLC Harvey Weinstein (“Weinstein”) on behalf of their client, who brings this action under the pseudonym Emma Loman for human trafficking, assault, battery, and false imprisonment. Loman filed a complaint in the Central District of California alleging that, over the course of a series of encounters, Weinstein lured Plaintiff into his hotel room to assault and rape her, physically detained her in his hotel room when she attempted to escape, and threatened her with professional and physical harm if she revealed Weinstein’s crimes.
“Our client brings her claims in an effort to achieve justice for herself, and she hopes that by doing so she can help open the door to justice for the women in her industry who have undergone similar experiences. Mr. Weinstein must answer these allegations and be held accountable for any damage he has caused our client,” said former organized crime and sex crimes prosecutor John G.
