Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Kurt Krautheim has assisted Balestriere Fariello in litigating class actions and complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts in New York, New Jersey, California, and Florida.
Kurt has a background in civil disputes of all types, with particular experience in construction, consumer fraud, and business litigation.
After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in music, Kurt worked as adjunct professor of Piano at Gulf Coast State College. He then attended law school at Seton Hall University, with special focus on consumer and construction law.
Kurt has recently represented clients in matters involving business torts, contract disputes, trade secrets protection and litigation, fraud, civil RICO, and appeals. He is also actively involved in the field of restaurant law, where he advises a number of New York City bars, restaurants, and industry professionals from both a litigation and contractual perspective.
Before entering private practice, Kurt served as a legal apprentice for Balestriere Fariello’s litigation department. While there, he performed varied litigation tasks, including case strategy, drafting of motions, complaints, and press releases for high profile clients.
